Every semester, every student at Bihar Engineering University goes through the same ritual: syllabus somewhere on one page, results scattered across three more, notices buried in PDFs nobody can find.

So I built BEU Connect — one page that gathers the syllabus, results, and all the important info about every BEU college in one place.

The constraints were fun: the official portals are slow, their layouts change without warning, and there’s no API. Everything had to be a static site that survives anything, with the links maintained by hand when things move.

Why not an app? Because an app needs maintenance, and a static page works on the cheapest of phones on the slowest of connections. That’s the whole point.

It now lives at beu.prit.eu.org and it’s been useful for exactly one thing more valuable than any feature: proving that a student can ship something more usable than the system that’s supposed to serve them.
